  Since 1975 the Oregon South Coast Fishermen have utilized the best of science while promoting the 3 H's (Habitat, Hatcheries, & Harvest) in order to better enhance and protect our local fisheries

OSCF Action

As a STEP (Salmon-Trout Enhancement Program) organization, working with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, OSCF volunteers have:

* Enhanced spawning and rearing conditions in tributaries utilizing habitat enhancement projects
* Improved angler access roads as a public service
* Assisted the ODFW with the capture of Chinook & Steelhead brood stock
* Placed aquariums in our local elementary school for hands-on fishery education for young adults
in our community
* Collaborated with land owners in an effort to keep access open to the public
* Established a wide range of advocacy groups and attracted national recognition for cutting edge fisheries management projects
